SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -- Yahoo Inc. Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen is leaving the Internet company, the latest in a series of executive departures since CEO Carol Bartz took the reins six weeks ago.Yahoo has initiated a search for a new CFO and Jorgensen will remain through a "transition period," the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.
The move comes amid expectations that Bartz is on the brink of announcing a major corporate reorganization.
Yahoo (YHOO, Fortune 500) shares were up 5.3% at $13.14 on the Nasdaq, having risen since Jorgensen said at a Goldman Sachs technology conference Wednesday that the company was open to a sale of its search business.
