CUDAHY, Wis. (AP) -- Ladish Co. Inc., which makes parts for the aerospace and industrial markets, said Friday it had completed its acquisition of Chen-Tech Industries Inc., a forger of jet engine components.Ladish earlier valued the deal at about $59 million. It bought Irvine, Calif.-based Chen-Tech with a combination of cash and stock. The transaction, completed Thursday, is expected to boost its 2008 earnings.
"Together, we expect to increase our worldwide market share of rotating engine components by capturing targeted growth opportunities," Kerry L. Woody, Ladish's president and chief executive, said in a statement.
Privately held Chen-Tech has projected 2008 sales of about $50 million.
