38 minutes ago NEW YORK (Reuters) - Private employers cut 33,000 jobs in August, according to a private report by ADP Employer Services released on Thursday.The median of estimates from economists surveyed by Reuters was for the ADP report to show a drop of 30,000 private-sector jobs in August. The 29 forecasts ranged widely from a decline of 115,000 to a rise of 15,000.
In July, the private sector added 1,000 jobs, according to revised ADP data. July's figure was originally reported as a rise of 9,000 jobs.
