By Megan Davies 54 minutes ago NEW YORK (Reuters) - Storied private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR.UL) plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange later this year in a complicated transaction that involves buying its publicly listed Amsterdam investment fund, three sources familiar with the matter said on Sunday.The firm, one of the world's best known private equity firms, could have a valuation of about $15 to $19 billion when combined with the Amsterdam fund it plans to buy, one source said.
Founded in 1976, KKR rose to prominence during the debt-fueled leverage buyout (LBO) craze of the 1980s.
