Wed Jul 2, 5:42 AM ET ROME (AFP) - The Italian economy is heading for zero growth this year and overspending by the public sector is beginning to rise, Italian Economy Minister Giulio Tremonti told parliament on Wednesday.Presenting the government's budget policy for 2008-2010, he said it had been prepared in the context of the serious economic csisis now underway in Italy and throughout the world.
He said that growth this year "is about zero" but the situation was difficult to analyse.
