JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Mississippi lawmakers have passed the final version of a bill that would let coastal utility companies take over private land more quickly to improve services.Sen. Joey Fillingane, R-Sumrall, said the bill is designed to speed up work on water and sewer lines.

Gov. Haley Barbour is expected to sign the bill.
