MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FedSources, a Washington Management Group Company, today released figures listing the top 25 small businesses working with the Federal Government in the areas of information technology and professional services. The figures provide rankings across 21 different organizations – including many cabinet-level agencies from the U.S. Army to the Department of Health and Human Services. The lists specifically note disadvantaged categories such as veteran-owned, woman-owned, 8(a), HUBZone, etc. This year, the rankings reflect changes made by the Small Business Administration (SBA), wherein certain companies have grown too large to still be considered small businesses. A company that is no longer considered a small business by the SBA is not part of the FedSources ranking.
This information is particularly relevant for integrators, which often use these figures to help target teaming partners for small-business credits or for small-business set-aside contracts. For small businesses, these figures reveal which types of companies are most successful in doing business with which agencies.
“We’ve done a lot of work analyzing this data from a long-term, strategic perspective,” says Ruth Zein, Vice President of Content Development at FedSources. “These rankings only include companies that the SBA considers small businesses, and only those with government prime-contractor experience.”
