WASHINGTON (AP) -- CVS Caremark Corp., the nation's largest pharmacy chain, spent just over $1 million in the second quarter to lobby the federal government, according to a recent disclosure form.The Woonsocket, R.I.-based company lobbied on legislation involving the safety of drug imports, prescription and illegal drug abuse, health technology, children's health insurance, labor and antitrust issues, and more, according to the report filed July 21 with the House clerk's office.
Besides Congress, CVS Caremark lobbied the White House, Food and Drug Administration, Drug Enforcement Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Health and Human Services Department in the April-June period.
