BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- Argentina is reporting that its economy expanded 6.4 percent in the twelve months ending in August.The government's official statistics institute also said Friday gross domestic product rose 0.9 percent from July.
The country has registered annual GDP growth topping 8 percent for the last five years following a severe economic meltdown in 2001-2002.
Analysts say growth is slowing due to a deceleration in internal consumption and industrial production.
